Hayden Castille Obituary, Death; The community of Branch, Louisiana is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Hayden Castille, 17, who was killed in a devastating two-vehicle crash Saturday night in Acadia Parish.
According to the Louisiana State Police Troop I, the fatal incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 95 near Wikoff Cove Drive in the Church Point area. Authorities reported that Hayden was operating a Honda ATV traveling northbound when it was struck from behind by an Audi under circumstances still under investigation.
The impact caused the ATV to overturn, ejecting Hayden Castille from the vehicle. Troopers noted that the ATV did not have its lights illuminated at the time of the crash. Despite a rapid response from emergency crews, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the driver of the Audi was not properly restrained but did not report any injuries. As part of standard procedure, investigators are continuing to examine all contributing factors surrounding the collision.
