
Jamison Phillips Obituary Death; The St. Martin Parish community is mourning the tragic loss of Jamison Phillips, 19, of Arnaudville, who died following a devastating roadway incident that left loved ones heartbroken.
According to the Louisiana State Police, the crash occurred around noon on Monday, April 6, along LA 686 Frontage Road near LA 347 in the Cecilia area. Authorities said Phillips was riding inside a utility trailer being pulled by a 2019 Ram 1500 traveling eastbound.
Preliminary findings indicate the trailer was being used to transport a mattress when, for reasons still under investigation, Jamison Phillips was thrown from the trailer and landed in the roadway. He sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died on Saturday, April 11.
Officials confirmed the driver of the pickup truck was properly restrained and was not injured in the incident. As part of standard procedure, routine blood samples were collected from the driver and submitted for analysis.
Troopers have not yet released additional details regarding what led to the tragic fall, and the crash remains under active investigation.
